Lisa Goddard is a mixed media artist and tutor living on the edge of the Peak District national park in the UK. She is passionate about art journaling and bookmaking.
"I started art journaling and journal making around twenty years ago. I had just completed a fine art degree and was feeling a bit lost and directionless when I stumbled across it. Art journaling became a space for me to express myself, process my emotions, experiment, and play. For me, it is now an essential part of my life, a place to create stories and tell my own.
I work predominantly with mixed media. I love the freedom of not being restricted in what I use, and there are always new exciting combinations to discover. I love to combine collage, texture, fabric and paper with splashes of colour on my pages and often use vintage images and found text. I am also inspired by nature and using natural materials to create textures, colours and marks in my work."
I’m Mansi (phonetic spelling: Maan-see) and I love experimenting with various media. Ever since I can remember, I have loved to paint. When I applied for art school, I was told by the interview committee that my poetry and essays were more powerful than my illustrations and paintings...they advised me to pursue a career in writing and I took it to heart. Fast forward five years and I had become a column journalist for a leading national daily in India, got a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Iowa and moved to California to become a full-time communications professional with a desk job and a six-figure salary.
For almost 15 years, I was a writer, until I decided to give myself a second chance at art. After a series of creative explorations in alcohol inks, fluid acrylic pouring, gel plate printing, resin, I found myself right where I first began: holding a paintbrush. But this time around, it was to express myself freely in my art journal.
I believe that one doesn’t have to have any professional training to experiment with techniques, explore new media, or just write down one’s innermost thoughts and paint over them. When I journal, there is usually no plan, no choice of colors and no agenda. I use a "grab-what's-within-reach-and-see-what-happens" method and love being able to paint like this for myself...there's no motive and no end goal; just the joy of painting for the sake of the process.
I am a mixed media artist, instructor, author and designer from New York City. I truly believe in the power of art to bring people together and strengthen our communities. My artwork has been exhibited in multiple exhibitions and can be found in numerous books and national magazines. I have published two books of my own, The Pulse of Mixed Media and The Mixed-Media Artist. I love the creative energy that occurs when artists and makers are brought together and have spent a great deal of time teaching workshops - both online and live in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and Europe. Closer to home I am an instructor at Pratt Institute in NYC. As a designer, I have created collections with many companies, including Impression Obsession, StencilGirl Products, PaperArtsy, WOW and Aladine. Art for me is everything and sharing the process just makes it even better.
Hello! My name is Claire Stead,
I live in the UK, in Derbyshire, in the beautiful Peak District with my husband and family.
I discovered Mixed media Art Journaling many years ago and have been totally swept up by it, I am so lucky to have a job that grew out of a passion! I love using faces and bold, bright colours in my art journals, and find making cut out journal pages so relaxing.
Hiya! My name is Ann Marie Corbiere-Scott, I am the owner and artist of anncorbierescottdesigns.
Tamara is a South African Mixed Media Artist.
She works through and expresses her experiences as a human in this world, using her art; to “Unearth Herself”.
Tamara’s work is a combination of quirky characters, loads of colour, sometimes moving mechanisms and a good dose of humour.
You will find her in Warsaw Poland, with her partner and fur-goblin, making jokes, vlogs, and eating pierogi.
Hello, my name is Laura and I am a mixed media artist based in Austin, TX. I love to play around and experiment in my art journals, and also enjoy dabbling in abstract, collage, and floral artworks. My favorite thing about art is that there are no rules - the only requirement is that whatever you create makes you happy! My main goal when I began sharing my art was to show people that you don't have to be classified as an artist to pick up a paintbrush. Your art doesn't have to be perfect, or even 'good' - it's the act of creating that matters.
I am married to a wonderful husband, who is the person who first nudged me down my artistic path about 8 years ago (although he probably didn't realize how much money I would spend on art supplies!). I am also the mother to two teenage boys, and a full-time Sonographer.
"What you see, is what you get….I put it all out there every day.
I am the mom of three great kids (25 son and 21 year old twins). For me, every day is full of color and inspiration. I am happiest behind my camera capturing life’s every amazing second. I live life with a creative edge and know that art is my calling. Most days you can find me in my art studio using all mediums; watercolors, acrylics, mixed media and more to capture life’s precious memories.
Every Wednesday you can catch me LIVE on my Facebook page at 5:30 pm PST with fun and free demonstrations. I am a published multi-medium artist that enjoys sharing my passion with others! Whether it is LIVE via online workshops or in a professional setting I love to share my passion for the craft & art industry! I have a unique and personal approach to marketing and education that is an asset to manufacturers, retailers and fellow artists! I have represented multiple manufacturers as an educator and designer team member. My work and art studio has been featured in multiple publications and I am a proud member of the Association for Creative Industries and Society of Decorative Painters.

Consie Sindet is a Mixed Media Artist & Teacher. She's been teaching creativity in many forms for 20+ years & before online classes were even a thing, she taught in-person art classes to hundreds of people. Consie finds that art journaling is the most freeing way to express herself & wants us all to know that we can find freedom, playfulness, & joy by slapping down some paint, gluing magazine pages to a piece of paper, adding doodling & marks, finding a quote that screams...'THIS IS HOW I FEEL TODAY!"...& calling it good enough. She believes that she’s not here to teach you how to paint. She’s here to teach you how to pick up your paintbrush & get your creative practice rooted in your life so that the freedom of expressing yourself can show up. Consie runs a membership called The Creative Playground that encourages her delightful community to embrace play, curiosity, and imperfection in their art practice
SW Florida based artist, Lorrie Bennett, is a self-taught, contemporary and expressive mixed-media artist and illustrator who has always known, from an early age, that she was an artist. Even though her earlier career was not originally a creative field, artistic endeavors always found its way back into her life. After 20+ years as a single mother and working in Graphic Design/Marketing, she decided it was time to spend her life as a full-time artist and currently works out of her home studio.
Creating has always been a journey of experimenting and exploration for Lorrie, most often with the beautiful Mother Earth as her muse. It lives deep inside her and she states, “I cannot turn away”. As an artist, she is bound by no medium, style, or rules. She often works intuitively, while creating and combining classical perspectives with expressive marks, storytelling and harmony. She loves it all!
Lorrie has been blessed to have her artwork reside in homes and businesses worldwide, and has numerous publications including two adult coloring books: “Inkspirations: Fruit of the Spirit” and “Inkspirations: Fruit of the Spirit for Moms” and has illustrated several children’s books. Her art was also chosen for the cover and inside pages of “The Beauty of Zentangle”, which recognized and presented 137 tangle artists worldwide.

I’m Susanne Rose, a passionate Mixed Media Artist from Germany, thriving in the vibrant world of art journaling and sketchbooks. As a self-proclaimed "sucker for art supplies," I find joy in experimenting with various materials, always seeking new ways to express my creativity. I believethat the process of creating holds much more value than the finished art work itself.
For me, art is a joyful endeavor, an escape that allows me to relax and take care of my mental well-being. I deeply admire the uninhibited creativity of children's artwork, drawing inspiration from their ability to create freely and without constraints.
Together with my husband, I manage a small family business, where we offer our own stamp and stencil designs, Rubber Dance. This venture not only fuels my creative spirit but also allows me to share my passion with a wider community.
