Michelle Schratz is the artist behind RaspberryBlueSky. A creative soul with a deep passion for art journaling. Originally from the USA, she now lives in Europe. Michelle's a dreamer, believer, mess maker, lake lover, wanderer and a wild flower child.
I’m Mansi (phonetic spelling: Maan-see) and I love experimenting with various media. Ever since I can remember, I have loved to paint. When I applied for art school, I was told by the interview committee that my poetry and essays were more powerful than my illustrations and paintings...they advised me to pursue a career in writing and I took it to heart. Fast forward five years and I had become a column journalist for a leading national daily in India, got a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Iowa and moved to California to become a full-time communications professional with a desk job and a six-figure salary.
For almost 15 years, I was a writer, until I decided to give myself a second chance at art. After a series of creative explorations in alcohol inks, fluid acrylic pouring, gel plate printing, resin, I found myself right where I first began: holding a paintbrush. But this time around, it was to express myself freely in my art journal.
I believe that one doesn’t have to have any professional training to experiment with techniques, explore new media, or just write down one’s innermost thoughts and paint over them. When I journal, there is usually no plan, no choice of colors and no agenda. I use a "grab-what's-within-reach-and-see-what-happens" method and love being able to paint like this for myself...there's no motive and no end goal; just the joy of painting for the sake of the process.
Hello I'm Giovanna (GiogioCraft on the web) and I live in Italy, in a beautiful island famous for crystal sea and pecorino cheese.
I started as scrapbooker many many years ago and then I dive head down into Mixed Media and upcycling. A couple of years ago I 'rediscovered' my Gelli® plate, a bit neglected, and now I gel print almost everyday: I include it in my Art Journal, cardmaking and home-decor artworks: it is so rewarding, there are no mistakes, just serendipity and colours. Lately I am a lot into dying fabric, slow stitching and coiling baskets from upcycled material, nothing is safe from my restless hands.
In my artworks I usually use vibrant and bright colours and during my workshops and video tutorial I do my best to share my passion and enthusiasm for crafting with others.
"Riikka Kovasin is a mixed media crafter from Finland. Creating is a way of self-care for her. Besides family of four and crafting, her weeks are filled with a full-time job in commerce.
Riikka has been doing all sorts of crafts her whole life. She comes from a family of creatives and has a degree in clothing design. She fell in love with scrapbooking some 14 odd years ago and since then her style has evolved to more and more mixed media. Nowadays the layouts have made way to art journal pages and spreads, canvases and altered pieces. She also enjoys cardmaking and especially ATCs. She's always up for a swap!
Riikka absolutely adores getting her hands into paints and mediums. To her the process of creating is at least equally important than the finished project.
Tonia Jenny supports creatives in the process of sharing their messages of inspiration with others—publishing, design and coaching—and encourages the exploration of all things made by hand. Prior to owning her own editorial, writing, design and branding business, Tonia enjoyed her adventure as a North Light craft- and art-book editor for over a decade. Passionate seeker and “sacred maker,” she never grows tired of exploring new ways of celebrating beauty and each individual’s unique contribution.
Sarah Gardner, also known as Juicy*S of Juicy*S Art, is a self-taught mixed media artist and teacher. Juicy*S is her DJ name. She's not a DJ. She would love to be one; it's one of her fantasy dream jobs! She got this name when she and a couple of friends were slinging paint and sipping wine, playing in their art journals and laughing all day. She started her first blog with this name in 2009 and has had it ever since.
For Sarah, mixed media art journaling is all about layers - layers of color and contrast, layers of different media. And her mixed media mantra is "Layer 'til you like it!" She was a StencilGirl Creative Team Member (2021-2022); a teacher in Fodder School 1 from Willa Workshops, and the Mixed Media Art Summit in February 2022. She was a Guest Host for Wanderlust 2020 (teaching six classes that year). She just launched her Teachable School: the Juicy*S Mixed Media Art School. Sarah is currently writing a book for Walter Foster/Quarto Creates publishing called "Share Your Joy: Inspired Mixed Media Mail Art." She is also part of Art Bundles for Good #7 in 2022.
Sarah has found that being creative, that making stuff, is a very fulfilling and beneficial activity. Creative play, and art journaling in particular, has become her self-care practice. She hopes that her classes help students connect with their own creativity in a way that feels like self care to them!
Carolyn Dude takes the intimidation out of your art supplies so that you can have more fun with them! How? Through the freedom of play! You can find her sharing the message of O.O.P.S. through her YouTube videos and blog, aColorfulJourney.com as well as designing stencils for StencilGirl Products, teaching in person and online workshops.

This belief helped her to develop a unique style and niche that effortlessly combines self-discovery and empowerment with her process-based artistic approach. As an artist, entrepreneur, speaker, and mentor, Jenn is on a mission to positively impact the world through the healing combination of community and creativity. She has created a supportive, uplifting environment where her students feel empowered and alive—a place where people lose themselves in artistic platforms while simultaneously finding themselves again.

Jenn lives in Rhode Island with her husband, two daughters, and their beloved rescue dogs from Arkansas, Angus and Harley. If she is not teaching in the studio or looking for sea glass at the beach, you can find her at home writing, gardening, reading a book, or spending time with family.
Jenny Grant is a Mixed Media Artist living in Stockholm, Sweden, on a mission to inspire people to be brave, to use their creativity and to do more of what they love. Jenny found her unique creative spark and source within herself after many years of pushing it aside. For Jenny it is all about the process, the doing. To actually get messy and just do. Her process is very unstructured, tactile and yes, quite messy and through that she is able open up the magic of what is unique within her. Jenny would love to share her process and her magic with you. She has seen how her creative process and approach has helped the creativity blossom in herself and in thousands of her students and she is so excited to share it with you to inspire you to expand and grow yours!
Kim Dellow is all about regular play, experimenting and exploring in your art. A self-taught, mixed media artist, she has worked for over 10 years in the creative industries, teaching, writing articles for magazines, creating content and designing art and craft products. She is passionate about helping others to express their creative selves and is driven to learn, explore and to help you to get the best from your art time.
Creativity and curiosity are key to everything she does, and she loves to help you to explore your materials, art practices and processes that all make up your unique creative self, your voice, and to help you to learn how to express it through your art, getting past your blocks and the things we all put in front of ourselves that stop us creating.
Expect a mix of both the intuitive side to art with a pragmatic approach too as she loves to get stuck in and learn from doing but also enjoys analysing and working out how and why things work. She is part scientist, part artist and all creative!
Hello, my name is Laura and I am a mixed media artist based in Austin, TX. I love to play around and experiment in my art journals, and also enjoy dabbling in abstract, collage, and floral artworks. My favorite thing about art is that there are no rules - the only requirement is that whatever you create makes you happy! My main goal when I began sharing my art was to show people that you don't have to be classified as an artist to pick up a paintbrush. Your art doesn't have to be perfect, or even 'good' - it's the act of creating that matters.
I am married to a wonderful husband, who is the person who first nudged me down my artistic path about 8 years ago (although he probably didn't realize how much money I would spend on art supplies!). I am also the mother to two teenage boys, and a full-time Sonographer.
Ali Manning has been creating books since 2000 and book arts since the internet dark ages of 2007. Teaching others to express their creativity through handmade books is her greatest joy. She believes that anyone can create a handmade book and it shouldn’t require expensive tools or equipment.
Working from her studio in an old school house in Groton, Massachusetts, she has taught thousands of students via her blog, Vintage Page Designs, in person and with her latest online adventure, The Handmade Book Club.
Her work has been featured in Somerset Studio, Take Ten, Paper Crafts Magazine and Cloth, Paper, Scissors.
Veronika Olivier is a South African contemporary multidisciplinary artist renowned for her eclectic, intuitive, and fearless expressions.
As a multi-disciplinary textile artist, she perpetually explores novel techniques, materials, and styles. Veronika's restless nature, deep curiosity, and insatiable desire to create serve as the driving forces propelling her to continuously push the boundaries of her art and engage in self-imposed challenges.
Never one to remain within the confines of a single style, Veronika shuns repetition and avoids being confined to one medium. She revels in the exploration of diverse artistic practices, such as sculpting and painting, seamlessly integrating them into her textile work.
A fundamental tenet of Veronika's artistic philosophy is her unwavering belief in the responsibility to minimize the impact on our planet. To this end, she employs recycled plastics and fibres in her artwork, breathing new life into materials that would otherwise languish in landfills or pollute the world's oceans. Her skill lies in the subtle and beautiful integration of these materials, often concealed in plain sight, recognizing that not everyone wishes to confront these elements in art.
Through her art, Veronika aspires to catalyse a fresh perspective within others, fostering an appreciation for the intricate beauty of the natural world and stimulating contemplation regarding individual impacts on the planet. She firmly believes that art possesses the transformative power to effect change, ignite conversations, and reshape the world, and she is wholly dedicated to leveraging her artistic practice to generate a positive influence.
Kylie Coo is a mixed media artist, art journaler and book artist as well as maker of many things. She finds that nature provides the biggest inspiration for her art whether it’s in the big picture beauty of land and seascapes or in the smaller picture details of the patterns and textures on insects, lichens, moss and rocks. She translates this often in an abstracted way into the many layers and textures she works into her paintings, art journal pages and the artist books she creates. She considers herself to be an intuitive artist – while she might start with a loose plan it often changes as once in flow the intuitive approach takes over. She often incorporates found words into her work. She loves monoprinting with or without a gel plate and is constantly experimenting with her supplies and techniques.
Kylie believes that everyone is creative and that everyone has the means to create with even the most basic supplies and believes in a ‘use what you have’ approach to art. She often demonstrates this in the projects she shares on her YouTube channel where she can be seen using everyday items to create patterns and textures and by upcycling and giving new life to many single use throw-away items.

Lorrie Bennett is a self-taught, contemporary and expressive mixed media artist, illustrator, and instructor, who has always known, from a very early age, she was an artist. Creating has always been a journey of experimenting and exploration for Lorrie. She is bound by no medium, creating and combining classical perspectives with expressive marks, storytelling and harmony.
Mother earth is her muse. Lorrie states, “my entire life has been shaped and inspired by nature and it’s unending beauty and it usually finds its way into my artwork, one way or another.
